3/11/2015. I normally only upload Syria related videos, but this combat footage is just too good. And it involves Saudi camel lovers getting owned so... :)
For more than six weeks, nine countries led by Saudi Arabia have been carrying out airstrikes on Yemen, the Arab world's poorest nation. Whole neighborhoods have been destroyed and communities reduced to rubble.
According to the United Nations, the strikes, targeting Iranian-backed Houthi rebel positions in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, have killed over 1,400 people, many of them civilians.
With international media unable to enter the besieged capital, Yousef Mawry, a local journalist, recorded the devastation of his home city for VICE News. He meets the survivors and victims, getting the inside view of life in Yemen.

War in Yemen 2015 is an ongoing conflict between two entities claiming to constitute the Yemeni government, along with their supporters and allies. Southern separatists and forces loyal to the government of Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, based in Aden, have clashed with Houthi forces and forces loyal to the former president Ali Abdullah Saleh.
On 22 March 2015, a Houthi offensive began with fighting in the Taiz Governorate. By 25 March, Taiz, Mocha, and Lahij fell to the Houthis and they reached the outskirts of Aden, the seat of power for Hadi's government. On 25 March, Hadi fled the country. On the same day, a coalition led by Saudi Arabia launched military operations by using airstrikes to restore the former Yemeni government and the United States provided intelligence and logistical support for the campaign. As of 7 April, at least 310 people have died in Aden.

More HD combat footage from the war in Yemen surfaced.
It is now more like an Saudi-Yemeni war since the battle was fought on Saudi soil as Houthi rebels attacked Saudi Arabian tanks and border posts with guerrilla warfare tactics using small rebels groups eqipted with small arms, RPGs and ATGM launchers to target Saudi tanks and border posts.
As in the last video a few hours ago the Saudi Army still holds a defensive role without taking offensive action against the rebel attempts to attack Saudi soil.
This footage was filmed like the other one in the Najran Region and shows Houthi fighters battle with Saudi Arabian tanks from large, medium to close distance.
The video features several ineffective but direct RPG hits on Saudi M60 Patton tanks and a ATGM attack in the beginning.
This footage is part of an ongoing documentary of the war in Yemen through raw combat footage.

In a previous CaspianReport, released back in 2011, we argued about the likelihood of a civil war in Yemen and that the Iranian back Houthi rebellion would trigger a new front in the ongoing Saudi-Iranian cold war. The other fronts being Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. Now that Yemen is once again on the brink of civil war, and facing a Zaidi-Shia led uprising in the North and an al-Qaeda led uprising in the South, all the while being bombed by neighboring Arab states, let’s take a step back and look at the origins of the current crisis.

Heavy clashes erupted again in Yemen as Houthi rebels started numerous attacks on Saudi Arabian Army outposts.
Pro Houthi sources also reported that the fight was thrown inside the territory of Saudi Arabia where military outposts where targeted and even overrun.
This Video footage shows Yemeni Houthi Rebels from the ground using small arms, machine guns and rocket launchers such as RPGs in heavy clashes with Saudi troops and inside at least one Saudi checkpoint from where they continued to engage the Saudi Arabian Army.
Also a number of Saudi armored military vehicles and APCs where destroyed during the fighting.
There is not much information about the latest attacks and Saudi media didnt seemed to have reported about the firefights in the area around the Jizan region that now seems to face constant infiltration attempts in Saudi Arabia by Houthi fighters.
It is most likely that Saudi Arabia now will intensify their efforts and engagement in the Yemeni Civil War that now slopped over into their own country and territory by using ground troops inside Yemen.

The Republic of Yemen (Arabic: الجمهورية اليمنية al-Jumhūrīyah al-Yamanīyah), commonly known as Yemen 
i/ˈjɛmən/ (Arabic: اليَمَن al-Yaman), is a country located in Western Asia, occupying the southwestern to southern end of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the north, the Red Sea to the west, and Oman to the east. Yemen is considered one of the poorest countries in the Arab world. Its capital and largest city is Sana'a. Yemen's territory includes over 200 islands, the largest of which is Socotra, about 415 km (258 mi) to the south of mainland Yemen, off the coast of Somalia. It is the only state in the Arabian Peninsula to have a purely republican form of government. Approximately 53% of Yemenis are Sunnis, while 45% are Zaydi Shias.
One etymology derives Yemen from yamin, meaning "on the right side", as the south is on the right when facing the sunrise. Another derives Yemen from yumn, meaning "felicity", as the region is fertile. The Romans called it Arabia Felix (Happy Arabia) as opposed to Arabia Deserta (Deserted Arabia), which was their term for northern Arabia.

For more than six weeks, nine countries led by Saudi Arabia have been carrying out airstrikes on Yemen, the Arab world's poorest nation. Whole neighborhoods have been destroyed and communities reduced to rubble.
According to the United Nations, the strikes, targeting Iranian-backed Houthi rebel positions in the Yemeni capital Sanaa, have killed over 1,400 people, many of them civilians.
With international media unable to enter the besieged capital, Yousef Mawry, a local journalist, recorded the devastation of his home city for VICE News. He meets the survivors and victims, getting the inside view of life in Yemen.

As of 7 April, at least 310 people have died in Aden.

It is now more like an Saudi-Yemeni war since the battle was fought on Saudi soil as Houthi rebels attacked Saudi Arabian tanks and border posts with guerrilla warfare tactics using small rebels groups eqipted with small arms, RPGs and ATGM launchers to target Saudi tanks and border posts.
As in the last video a few hours ago the Saudi Army still holds a defensive role without taking offensive action against the rebel attempts to attack Saudi soil.
This footage was filmed like the other one in the Najran Region and shows Houthi fighters battle with Saudi Arabian tanks from large, medium to close distance.
The video features several ineffective but direct RPG hits on Saudi M60 Patton tanks and a ATGM attack in the beginning.
This footage is part of an ongoing documentary of the war in Yemen through raw combat footage.

As in the last video a few hours ago the Saudi Army still holds a defensive role without taking offensive action against the rebel attempts to attack Saudi soil.
This footage was filmed like the other one in the Najran Region and shows Houthi fighters battle with Saudi Arabian tanks from large, medium to close distance.
The video features several ineffective but direct RPG hits on Saudi M60 Patton tanks and a ATGM attack in the beginning.

Heavy clashes erupted again in Yemen as Houthi rebels started numerous attacks on Saudi Arabian Army outposts.
Pro Houthi sources also reported that the fight was thrown inside the territory of Saudi Arabia where military outposts where targeted and even overrun.
This Video footage shows Yemeni Houthi Rebels from the ground using small arms, machine guns and rocket launchers such as RPGs in heavy clashes with Saudi troops and inside at least one Saudi checkpoint from where they continued to engage the Saudi Arabian Army.
Also a number of Saudi armored military vehicles and APCs where destroyed during the fighting.
There is not much information about the latest attacks and Saudi media didnt seemed to have reported about the firefights in the area around the Jizan region that now seems to face constant infiltration attempts in Saudi Arabia by Houthi fighters.
It is most likely that Saudi Arabia now will intensify their efforts and engagement in the Yemeni Civil War that now slopped over into their own country and territory by using ground troops inside Yemen.

Yemeni tribal forces have launched a series of new attacks against two Saudi cities on the border in retaliation for Saudi Arabia’s ongoing aggression against the impoverished Arab country.
Latest media reports said several rockets targeted military positions in the border cities of Najran and Dhahran al-Janub on Wednesday.
The latest rocket attacks came hours after a Saudi soldier, identified as Hassan Someili, was reportedly killed during cross-border clashes with fighters from the Houthi Ansarullah movement in Jizan Region of southwest Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, local Yemeni media outlets have released footage of the latest tribal fighters’ retaliatory attacks on Saudi cities near the Yemeni border.
According to sources, the tribes fired at least 90 rockets and mortar rounds on Saudi military bases and installations located across the volatile region.
Some reports also say the Saudi troops suffered heavy casualties during the clashes. Unconfirmed reports say at least 11 Saudi soldiers were killed.
Saudi Arabia’s military aggression against Yemen started on March 26 - without a UN mandate - in a bid to undermine the Houthis and to restore power to the fugitive former president of Yemen, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a staunch ally of Riyadh.
The latest retaliatory attack came after Saudi warplanes launched nine airstrikes on the Jabal Marran mountainous area and the districts of Malaheedh and Dhaher in Sa’ada Province in northern Yemen.

The Republic Of Yemen: there is almost no other country on Earth that possesses as many secrets and ancient legends as the Arabia Felix and the Bab Al Yemen, the gateway to the Yemen, is the entrance to the historic district of Sanaa, the Yemen’s capital city that it is believed to date back to the third century A.D. Women are rarely to be seen in Yemen’s marketplaces and, when they are, they are hidden from male glances by a protective veil. Islam still plays an important role in the daily cultural life of the people, including the traditional market places that are almost exclusively a male domain. The Republic Of Yemen covers a large part of the southwest of the Arabian Peninsula and contains several fascinating historical sites. East of Sanaa on the ancient Frankincense route, is the town of Marib that was once the residence of the legendary Queen Of Saba and in the extreme north is the town of Sadah, a region known for its powerful tribes. In the centre of the Djebel Harraz is the picturesque mountain village of Manakhah. Due to its location it was once a strategic point on the ancient trading route between the sea and the highlands. The breathtaking architecture of its buildings still testifies to the former prosperity of a village that today is well known for its popular market. Al Hudaydah was once the most important Turkish harbour on the Red Sea. The city was a commercial rival of the British occupied city of Aden to the south which, during colonial times, was of great importance in securing a sea route to India. In addition to the recent modernisation of the harbour the fishing industry still plays an important role and the fertile coastal waters of the Red Sea still ensure a good catch. To the south of Al Hudaydah is the legendary old harbour of Al Mokha, the former centre of the country’s coffee trade from which the world renowned Mocha coffee derived its name. Despite their present poverty the people here are a proud race and the ancient name of the Yemen, Arabia Felix, or “Arabia The Content”, is still a thing of the present.

Since 2011, when Yemeni youths took to the streets and sparked the eventual demise of former President Ali Abdullah Saleh's regime, the country has fallen to pieces. The new embattled government is now struggling to cope with a bevy of issues, including sectarian rivalries, CIA drone strikes, and one of al Qaeda's most sophisticated branches. It now risks presiding over the failure of one of the world's most fragile countries.
In "Yemen: A Failed State," VICE News visits some of Yemen's most dangerous and hard-to-reach places and groups, including the national Army in the country's lawless East, the Houthis in Sana'a, and the Popular Committee in the South, to find out how both the government and the West's policy toward Yemen have gone wrong.

구약성서에 나오는 솔로몬 왕과 지혜를 겨뤘다는 시바여왕이 세운 나라가 바로 예멘이다. 특히 해발 2350미터 고원지대에 자리 잡은 수도 사나는 인류가 정착한 최초의 도시 중의 하나로 노아의 아들 셈에 의해 만들어졌다는 전설이 내려온다. 올드 사나는 도시 전체가 성벽으로 둘러싸인 하나의 요새다. 사나라는 지명 역시 요새를 뜻한다고 했다. 이 요새로 들어가기 위해선, 예멘의 문이라는 뜻을 가진 밥알예멘이라는 관문을 통과해야한다. 밥알예멘을 들어서자 경쾌한 북소리가 나의 발길을 잡아끌었다. 사람들이 몰려 있는 곳을 비집고 들어서니 그곳에는 한바탕 춤판이 벌어지고 있었다. 바로 잠비아댄스다. 잠비아댄스는 남자들이 추는 예멘의 전통 춤으로 잠비아라는 그들의 전통 칼을 들고 춤을 추기 때문에 잠비아댄스라고 부른다. 잠비아 댄스는 춤꾼이 따로 있는 것도 아니고 흥만 있으면 누구든 나와서 즉석에서 춤판을 벌인다. 예멘에서 공개적으로 볼 수 있는 유일한 전통예술이기도 하다.

SANAA is the largest city in Yemen and the centre of Sana'a Governorate. The city is not part of the Governorate, but forms the separate administrative district of "Amanat Al-Asemah". Under the Yemeni constitution, Sana'a is the capital of the country,[1] although the seat of the internationally recognised government moved to Aden in the aftermath of the 2014–15 Yemeni coup d'état.

마립 시내에서 조금 벗어난 곳에 고대 시바왕국의 유적이 나온다. 바로 바란 신전이다. 기원전 400년경에 지어진 것으로 추정되는 이 신전은 전설 속에만 존재하는 줄 알았던 시바여왕과 시바왕국을 세상에 드러낸 곳이다. 기계로 자른 듯 정교하게 재단한 돌 조각들은 3000년 전 인류의 솜씨라고 믿기지 않을 정도다. 달의 신전에서 멀지 않은 곳에는 태양의 신전이 마주하고 있다. 태양의 신전은 발견 당시 모래에 파묻혀 있었는데 이처럼 마리브의 사막아래에는 계속해서 시바왕국의 유적들이 발굴되고 있다고 한다.
